Belgrave, San Francisco California

One of Amato Architecture’s first projects, this unique mid-century, three-story residence in Cole Valley needed a complete remodel. Highlights of the project include the custom designed fireplace, and new cabinetry and new lighting throughout.

Viewpoints

Majestic views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge provide an anchoring element to the layout and design in the living room.

Open Flow

Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room provides a more open connection to the eating, entertaining and adjacent living spaces. The kitchen remodel created a cooking space for the owners that is as beautiful as it is functional.

Soothing and Spacious

The master bedroom was reconfigured to provide a wall large enough to fit a king-size bed. Installing a new gas fireplace and building an improved, larger master closet created a more welcoming and functional suite.

Continuous Line

Reconfiguring the master bathroom to maximize use of space included installing a continuous countertop space over the toilet and a ledge below the windows. The colors for the room were inspired by a day at the beach.

Coordinated Accents

Glass tiles for wall and floor accents were selected to match this custom-formed, Italian-made glass countertop in the guest bathroom.
