Serpentine Restaurant,
2495 3rd Street,
San Francisco, California

Worked in collaboration with Martin-Heid Design Build Contractor to convert existing self-service restaurant to upscale full service restaurant, in the heart of the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. Custom designed and fabricated steel dividers separate the dining area from the bar. Oval cutouts can be left open or be closed off by a sliding metal panel for diners to enjoy varying levels of privacy.

Warm Glow from Below

Subtle under-counter lighting at the bar and soft lighting from above enhance the speakeasy environment. Discreetly mounted purse hooks provide a key utilitarian feature.

Structural Beauty Revealed

Existing plaster walls and drop grid ceilings were demolished to expose original brick of building at perimeter and exposed concrete structure above.
