Craftsman (Kitchen Remodel, Redesign)

Our clients on Chabot Road in Rockridge always dreamed of having their own island — a generous kitchen island everyone could gather around without getting underfoot. By moving an interior staircase out of the kitchen, we created enough square footage for an L-shaped counter and that large, dream island, plus a pantry and bar with convenient storage for the coffee maker and blender. Opening up the kitchen to the dining room means that everyone can be a part of the conversation when friends and family are gathered, and the kids have room to run through the house to the backyard without bumping into the chef! Jungle-themed wallpaper with coral highlights add a touch of island fun to a new upstairs bathroom for the children. A home office nook, an updated detached garage turned multipurpose room and new basement staircase all offer convenience and functionality. Craftsman moldings paired with contemporary light fixtures and a vibrant tile backsplash combine traditional beauty with the pleasures of modern living. You could say it’s a dream come true.
